Master the Art of the Selfie

Whether for your passport or your profile, getting the perfect shot is easier than you think. Here is how the pros do it.

1. Find the Light

Good lighting is 90% of the work. Face a window. Avoid direct sunlight that casts harsh shadows. The light should be even across your face.

2. The Angle

Hold the camera at eye level. Not too high, not too low. Look directly at the lens, not at the screen.

3. Neutral Expression

For official documents, a neutral expression is mandatory. Mouth closed, eyes open. No smiling (we know it's hard!).
